Minister Joshua May's message to the youth was, “To Obey is Better than Sacrifice”.
His lesson text was from 1 Samuel 15:22-23, Romans 12:1-2, and James 4:7-8.
Two points we can take away from this encouraging message to the youth:
-Being obedient is a blessing.
-You are responsible for presenting your bodies to God.
Saul disobeyed God, made excuses, blamed others, and did not repent. He continued to disobey God, which cost him the chance to continue as king of Israel. Disobedience has consequences and piles up. You must reap what you have sown, even if you have gotten older.
Young people, you must obey, even when you don’t want to, have a reason, or tempted to do wrong. Being obedient is a blessing. Submit yourself to God and build a relationship with Him so you can love what He loves and hate what He hates. It’s your responsibility to present your body to God. Receiving the Holy Ghost makes a difference.
